Our client is building the next generation incident response team for their global enterprise and are seeking information security specialists who have expertise in network security monitoring, reverse engineering, host forensics, and incident response.

The network security monitoring (NSM) analyst will help in the deployment, maintenance, and analysis of network traffic capturing systems, network IDS/IPS, and flow analysis tools. They will work with industry respected malware and incident response analysts to coordinate a best in class response to computer related incidents. 

Required Skills:
•Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
•Familiarity with Windows, Apple, and Linux based operating systems (e.g. XP, Windows 7, 2003, 2008, OS X).
•2+ years of experience in information security.
•1+ years of experience working on computer security incident response team.
•Project management and scheduling experience.
•In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SMTP and SNMP.
•Strong skill set in network forensics and protocol reverse engineering.
•Has the ability to setup intrusion detection and prevention systems (e.g. Snort/Bro)
•Proficiency in writing and deploying custom IDS/IPS signatures in an enterprise environment.
•Experience with using and developing tools for statistical analysis and session analysis of network traffic.

Desired Skills:
•Accredited degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent years of experience.
•Experience with version control software (e.g. Git, SVN,CVS) a plus.
•Experience with setting up network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls)
•Experience with development and/or administration of network packet capture tools including storage and configuration.
•Knowledge of two or more of the following languages (Perl, Python, C, C++, C#, Objective C, Ruby, Lisp, Scheme, IA-32/IA-32e assembly, ARM, Power PC, MIPS, SPARC, Shell, SQL, HTML, CSS, XSLT, XML, Java, or EnScript).
