Type: 12 + month contract


Quantitative Analyst needed to work on initiatives to improve and develop the analytics infrastructure of a financial services company. Working with cross functional teams including Enterprise Data Management, Enterprise Risk, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Information Services.
 
Responsibilities:
-Assist in designing, planning, building, and deploying information and analytics solutions.
-Participate in related activities including various data governance and data profiling initiatives, application development, and vendor evaluation, Executive Management Reports and other analytic needs.
-Typical projects will include deriving customer insights through predictive modeling; determining effective means of meeting risk, regulatory reporting and financial planning requirements; determining quantitative strategies for social media and marketing.
 
Experience:
-Broad skill set in areas such as statistics, math, computing, and quantitative modeling.
-Background or experience in finance, business analysis, or financial engineering is a plus, but strong curiosity and interest in learning new things is more valuable. Get things done approach and delivering results are key.
- 5+ years of relevant corporate work experience working in areas such as programming, data analytics, and quantitative modeling
-Programming skills in prototyping languages such a  Python
-Statistical skills and experience with languages like R
-Ability to work with large databases and devising queries using SQL
-Knowledge of and experience in executing all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies
-Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
-Solid business acumen and executive-level communication
-Banking experience preferred
 
Education:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or a related field
