The Epic Implementation Analyst supports the designing and configuring the integrated suite of applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software. This role consults with members to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient patient care and provider/user workflows, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.
 
In this role, you'll be collaborating with an innovative team of people moving exciting projects forward and working to improve systems and processes along the way.
 
Responsibilities:
Perform standard install build and configuration in Epic
Lead working sessions, both in-person and virtual, to review existing clinic workflows and help align with our standard of build and best practice.
Conduct design meetings with member project team, which may consist of many levels of roles ranging from end-user to project lead to the executive.
Discuss and provide workflow solutions and ensure understanding of the system through hands-on training.
Document build specifications, team processes, and complex clinic workflows.
QA new install builds, Service Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to address integration issues.
Develop and share workflow best practices.
Travel to support off-site software installations.
Assist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities.
Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.
Provide process improvements within your application or team.
Other duties as assigned.
 
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years active Epic build experience
Current certification in relevant Epic module/application, including 2018 NVTs
(In addition to Epic 2018 NVT’s we are also looking for certifications within Epic: ASAP, ClinDoc, EpicCare Ambulatory, Optesia, Orders, Beacon, Radiant, Willow, MyChart / HIE, Stork, and Healthy Planet)
Bachelor’s degree required
Clinical degree preferred
Travel could be 50%
Experience with academic health center or public university (as student or employee) preferred
Broad and / or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
